Setting

At Dolphin Day Nursery we base our routine and learning environment around the needs of the children in our care.  We have all the facilities necessary to provide for the different areas of learning. These include areas for construction, role play, creativity, mark making/graphics area, table top activities, computer activities and a larger group area for social interaction.

The nursery also has use of a large indoor hall which is used as a play area twice a day.  This provides the best security and of course is available in all weather conditions.  We have a large selection of play equipment for use by the children which includes bikes, slides, cars, balls, rocking horse, hoops, beanbags and ball pit along with other floor-based toys.  We also participate in circle and ring games.

When the weather allows, we also take the children out of the nursery environment to enjoy the open spaces such as Daventry Country Park and the learning environment of the local library, among other walks and trips.
